What Past Smugglers Are Saying

You’re not getting a rehearsed and scripted guide regurgitating facts to you. Instead, if you’re lucky enough to have Steve be your guide, you’ll have one of the most interesting and knowledgeable people on the face of the planet. Steve knows more things about Smuggling history than anyone you’ll ever meet.

I have done guided walks all over the world and this tour was by far the best tour ever, read my blog for more info!

I and the family had a fantastic time, the kids loved the tour and it was a fascinating way to see Newquay, the history and Cornish myths and we loved the legend of the Cornish pasty story. The kids loved the stories of the Padstow mermaid and Bucca Boo. You could not ask for a better setting within the cove in the harbour and hearing about the smugglers, wreckers and old beliefs that the fisherman have made our trip. We would highly recommend this tour.

Kate and the Family of 6

I have to say this tour was a fantastic way to see Newquay and uncover the smugglers and a few old skeletons in the closet. Our guide, oddly enough was from Newcastle but what a guide, he was funny and knew his stuff. I actually felt part of the history, standing where these smugglers operated, with Stevens stories I could almost see the men hauling away. It has a few spooky stories and local myths and legends. It is a highly recommended tour and we will do it again next year.
